What's In A Surgical Kit?

There are many different surgical instruments to be found in a sterile surgical kit. These kits are made up by the veterinary nurses and sterilised in an autoclave. Once the kit has cooled down it is ready for use and is opened by the surgeon in theatre when the procedure is to be done. Forceps, scalpel handles, mosquito clamps, large clamps, bowel clamps, towel clamps and needle holders are a few examples of what can be found in a kit, depending on the procedure it has been prepared for.
