Taking a Punch Biopsy

This is a punch biopsy, used to collect small amounts of tissue. We send these samples for histopathology in order to get a diagnosis. In this case, this fella had an immune mediated disease called pemphigus erythematosis. Was the "punch" worth it? We think so.
