How we discover the culprit bacteria

When a pet has a bacterial, or sometimes a yeast, infection, we need to find out what type of organism is the cause and which treatment (antibiotics for bacteria) will be most effective. We use a culture test at the clinic and it has a very colourful way of showing us what the infection is caused by and which drugs will be used as treatment.
