Checking for a Corneal Ulcer

Corneal ulcers are very common. They are an abrasion of the corneal layer of the eye and can become very serious, with permanent blindness, if not treated quickly. We use a stain called fluorescein in order to make this diagnosis and to see where the ulcer is.
